Ton Sai Day Two: A Lazy Saturday
It's hard to wake up unhappy or hungover and not feel better instantly when this is your morning. We woke up to a beautiful morning filled with napping on the sand and reading some good books. As the tide went out, the sun went with it. But a cloudy and rainy day wasn't to bring us down!
Maggie and I walked around the very rocky low tide area and scared a few crabs on our way...sorry guys!
We ventured back to the comforts of the bar as the weather got worse. Our afternoon was filled with naps, reading...hey this sounds a lot like our morning. Oh wait, there were beers and live music, too!
Maxi (sitting next to Maggie) rock climbs in Ton Sai and had been sitting at the bar pulling out the insides of rope and making bracelets. Clearly I wandered by to check out his craft and wound up getting myself a pretty sweet rope bracelet. After me, followed Marie and Maggie - copycats.
Dan played an impromptu afternoon set...(anyone surprised?) while we lounged on straw mats and enjoyed our lazy Saturday. As the night quickly approached, we happily snacked on some delicious fried chicken, followed by curry, followed by a three hour nap in our bungalow. Back at the bar the band took a break to allow some farang to pick up the instruments and jam...although I may have been a little distracted by the fire dancer, who burned himself several times.
